Scenic Highway 68 in Nevada and Arizona
In late evening of Saturday, November 4, 2006, we arrived at the town of Laughlin, Nevada at the southern end
of Lake Mead National Recreation Area about 60 miles south of Hoover Dam. We were surprised to find that
Laughlin and its adjacent town of Bullhead City have many big casino hotels with lots of fancy and glittering
neon lights just like in Las Vegas. I stayed at River Palm Resort & Casino Hotel on the river bank of the
Colorado River.

In the morning of Sunday, November 5, 2006, the view of the nearby mountains from the hotel window is shown
in the following:
After checking out of the hotel, we drove on the scenic highway 68 from Laughlin/Bullhead City in Nevada to
Kingman in Arizona on our way to Las Vegas. The mountains along this highway 68 are very beautiful and
impressive as shown in the following pictures.
